Wisconsin's Link to the Tropics

Wisconsin is home to a number of conservation initiatives that provide a tangible link to our tropical counterparts in Latin America and the Caribbean. While each employs a unique combination of strategies to achieve its objectives (education, working with local landowners, ecotourism, research, outright habitat protection, etc.) their common denominator is bird conservation.  Simply reviewing these projects makes it clear no single approach to bird conservation is sufficient. Effective conservation will require collaborative, multifaceted approaches employed across ecological landscapes and international borders.

The Wisconsin Bird Conservation Initiative is pleased to showcase these projects and encourages your support for them.  Should you wish additional information, feel free to utilize the contact information provided on each of the project pages below.
