10:52 – Waterfowl use of the Whittlesey Creek National Wildlife Refuge (Ted Koehler USFWS)

10:59 – Importance of Barrens habitat in northern WI (Fred Strand WI-DNR)

11:06 – USDA Farm Bill programs, what works, what doesn’t (Gary Haughn - NRCS)

11:13 – Importance of Pasturelands for grassland birds (Randy Gilbertson NRCS)

11:20 – Group Discussion: Native Vs. Non-Native Grassland on the Red Clay, Tree Planting, Conflicting uses,
Acreage and Extent of current Grasslands.

11:40 – Moquah Barrens restoration plan (Scott Posner)

12:00 – Pick up lunches, board buses for Field Trip

12:15 – View Robert Cameron WRP, discuss mowing options (Greg Kidd)

12:30 – Travel to second site

12:45 – View Gerald Nelson WRP, discuss burn management (Todd, Gary)

1:00 – Travel to Moquah via Ino area; discussion on bus about character of grasslands in the Red Clay Country (Todd, Fred)

1:45 – Discussion and Viewing of Barrens Community (Scott Posner)

2:30 – Board bus travel back to Visitor Center

3:15 – Workshop Conclusion
